Our specifically designed seated movement to music & happiness program aims to provide clients with meeting the requirements set out by the recently introduced aged care standards. The classes have been designed to include an adequate amount of movement & rest intervals.
Movement is encouraged but never forced. Music & the energy of the group provides everyone a sense of joy, releasing endorphins, such as serotonin & stress hormones.
Fostering social interaction through eye contact, smiling, voice projection, encouragement through singing, can improve their mood & response systems. The exercises assist with range of motion, increased muscle memory, enhanced energy, & a general feeling of well-being.
We consider Exercise Angels to be different from other programs, due to the fact of our wide range of diversified skills. Being able to make adjustments on the spot for whom ever is participating is a highly defined skill, based on experience. Being able to handle potential stressful situations with clients of a wide range of mental capacity may throw a lesser experienced person.
We are capable of adjusting each class from seated movement, to standing for more able bodied participants. Ex- an over 50’s community that are in a self-care situation & able to be more mobile. Also, creating a fun & interactive environment for those in disability groups that are looking for something different. Music is the main component for creating energy, heightened awareness of body movement, & plain laughter & FUN!
